Formerly the lead colorist at WildStorm Studios, where I worked for 11 years, I now work as a freelance comic book colorist.  I've worked on titles including, but not limited to,  Smallville Season 11, Hellblazer,  MAD, Majestic,  Welcome to Tranquility, Victorian Undead, and Spy vs Spy: An Explosive Celebration.

I also think that the colors by Carrie Strachan are excellent and the high point of the book — they really make the art jump off of the page and add depth to the book where the writing does not. There’s an electric quality to her work, and Nemesis’s costume itself really stands out, making her the visual focus of the book (which the story should have, since it’s her book). Strachan, who I also have never heard of, proves in this title she’s got the chops for coloring, and I hope to see her name again in the future.

It doesn’t hurt that Isaacs has the sublime Carrie Strachan on colors. Using a natural muted palette for the alien planet and its inhabitants and a bright saturated modern one for our twenty first century “heroes”. The two palettes should not look so in synch, but in Strachan’s hands it’s all beautifully cohesive.
